Lyrics
I have this jeep that’s kind of old.
The coolant leaks. Never gets cold.
The brake pedal goes through the floor,
But it goes from A to B.
My friends say that I should upgrade.
I laugh, and say “with what money?”
Besides, it drives for now at least
But maybe I should save.
For some reason, this makes me think
Of everything that’s wrong with me,
But I’ll still put off everything.
Hell yeah.
My body and my car are cheap.
I’ll drive them into smithereens.
I’ll keep driving my broken jeep.
Hell yeah.
Wish any of my belongings
Had any real longevity
But that’s the poor folks tax, indeed.
Let’s see how long this keeps.
So forward is the only way
To go, but I can’t pick up speed.
The gears simply are not shifting.
(I’m totally still talking about the jeep.)
For some reason, this makes me think
Of everything that’s wrong with me,
But I’ll still put off everything.
Hell yeah.
My body and my car are cheap.
I’ll drive them into smithereens.
I’ll keep driving my broken jeep.
Hell yeah.
I could do something really small,
Like take a shower, fill the tank.
A bandaid on a bullet hole.
It’s getting hard to think.
One day, I’ll make a decent wage,
Then I’ll go get my jeeps teeth cleaned,
And take myself for an oil change.
Hey, what the fuck did you just say?
I can’t help but always think
That something’s wrong with me.
But I’ll still put off everything.
Hell yeah.
My body and my car are cheap.
I’ll drive them into smithereens.
I’ll keep driving my broken jeep.
Hell yeah.
I’ll keep grinding my broken teeth.
I’ll keep walking on broken feet.
I’ll keep driving my broken jeep.
Hell yeah.
