Slow motion snow falls from the sky

I pull the covers over my eyes

Out in the hallway, my youngest child cries

He comes to our room and leaves with my wife

The incoming sound of my oldest child's feet

They climb in my bed and put them on me

I roll away, I say, "Your feet freeze"

They laugh and say, "You're so warm, dad"
