Clockmaker

One, two, three, four

As I drove in the nail that was attached to a spring

I adjusted the door for the breadth of its swing

She looked at me and said

"Did you know that I was once a clockmaker?

I didn't do aesthetics

I designed the works and gears

I refined my mathematics

For over 30 years

It takes a special kind of mind

If you're going to learn to be a clockmaker
