Without movement, our world turns to stone

The narrow-minded have a stranglehold

Their rabid grip on our lives, the need to dominate

Infects us all

Lurch through time

Desperate to arrest

The corrosive inequalities

They rain down on all of us

What will they do when it all collapses?

I mourn for those that follow

That have to pick up the pieces

And try to recover

Their denial a final nail

The lack of action

The spineless conceit

The fragile construct

That we're taking a stand

That we're making a change

I can't relate to allusions of past grandeur

You cannot cleanse this world of the disgrace

Of each life stolen, of every village raised

For a hammer of grim tradition, an imperialist myth

A vicious sinkhole of performative virtue

Their hysteria and need to control

Everyone is seen as an asset to exploit

Everything a commodity to be sold

The best days of our lives are taken from us by a system

That doesn't benefit us

We are born to suffer

Their agenda only benefits the privileged
