Over the weekend I have an epiphany

It’s such a privilege to live in this city

With all you people so well-intentioned

And all of those that we fail to mention

Woke up this morning and I found god

Went to church, walked my dog

Put on a wash and did some boxing in the park

I don't sleep so I fight the dark

And it shines so bright here I must be in heaven

The sun shines so bright I must be in heaven

A thousand days reduced to none

A hundred lifetimes lived in one

A thousand days washed in sin

I catch a bite, and reel it in

The nanny state looks after me

I work so hard for place to sleep

And my friends love one another

And my family love one another

I go to the uni in Leicester

I haven’t been to a single lecture

I blame my parents that I am stupid

Nobody loves me and I blame cupid

And it shines so bright I must be in heaven

The sun shines so bright I must be in heaven

The lakes are filled with acrid waters

Let's save the world for our sacred daughters

One man speaks out through silence

Peaceful protests turn violent

Over the weekend I had an epiphany

There’s nothing left for me in this city

How can I change the world if I cannot speak?

If I've got no arms then how can I eat?

This morning when I asked god

All he did was reply with a nod

But that doesn’t work when it’s an open question

I further probed but not a single suggestion came
