Azure Rain

A haunted stain cannot wash away

Eyes burned into the sky

Devoid of lids, an iron vice derides the blind

Salt escaping broken bones as you hover over in disguise

Slowly tearing through the mouth of the pure limb over limb

Though the seed's broken through, time has not stilled

A ghost in the mirror, you shall remain

Grind ineffable dreams through the mind

Lay down in peace as the sun subsides

An infant and veterans divide

Their eyes and lives are clouded by time

No matter how far nor how high

The stain on the glass will remain

No matter your growth or decline

Warmly observed through azure rain

Stripped trees carve the air leaving breaks for breath

I know glasslike surface, crystalline

An outlined condition doomed to expire

Raindrops cascading beckoning self recognition's eye

Self recognition cast matter to grey

I ask of you: what is growth worth?

By league or by inch, by stride or by step

The over remains painted

Ever distant constant, I've balanced my back

"Has your balance been try

To live with the motion is to die?"

Death in all forms is blackness: nothing

Times grains slips through cracks fast

Without any judgement

Repairing the glass left unphased
