Artist Biography
ADA Band burst out of Jakarta’s café circuit in 1996, enrapturing audiences with a bright ’90s rock and pop sound they made their own. Their shift toward ballad-based pop-rock—with big choruses aplenty—came on their 2003 album Metamorphosis, gifting us Indonesian radio staples like “Masih” and “Manja”. Several albums later and ADA Band still refuse to settle. Despite major lineup changes, they continue to experiment with jazz, reggae and electronic influences to produce both mellow and upbeat numbers as their potent musical alchemy remains undimmed.
