i’m standing in the driveway

car all packed i’m bout to hit the highway out this town and i’m scared as hell

i see you there

your saying you love me

and tho it hurts you say your so proud and happy

of the man i am and how you’ve raised me

maybe something has to end

for something new to began,

i remember when you said..

nothing stays the same forever life is bond to change,

but you can save yourself a some heartache

if you don’t run from the pain..

i know it hard to hear but son

it’s best you see this way

cuz when you change the way you look at things they change

i’m 23 still feeling my first heartbreak

tho it’s been years a part of me’s still healing

but i’ve pushed it down cuz it still hurts to feel it

but times gone on i’m seeing differently

so long i hated you, regretting everything but if you being you somehow made me- me...

i wouldn’t change a thing

maybe problems come so you and i can grow

wouldn’t that be nice

i’m turning 25 with a new look a life

feels like i’ve learned so much but still can’t say i’m wise

and i don’t know how i’m supposed to let that go

but you can’t fight that, its just a part of growing old

 i’ll try to think of days we had and not the ones we won’t
