I climbed out of my own head

I'd gone stone-blind living in the dark so long

I bought a bouquet of twelve red roses

Got to the door, and you were gone

Your hair in a mess, all rosy-cheeked

We wouldn't be so lonely

Desperate and restless, baked and bored

And scared that you'll end up juggling babies

Barefooted on the kitchen floor
