I'm out with the foxes again

Stealing along into the dawn

Past the sprinklers on sleepy summer lawns

And the stars still twinkling

Like trinkets in a pawnshop window

Down the misty lane

The milk truck clinks along its way

And I stumble on the steps

I could free myself

From the dark tendrils that cling to me
