Pool Party

Today I’m remembering

It’s the way in that we see things

He was so fine though smart and kind

It’s all perspectives and filling in

It was all so perfectly right and that’s why I didn’t marry him

Sometimes there just aren’t words

It was there at the pool party we sensed goodbye

Nothing was said

We just felt it

So we held on tight

It was there at the pool party our one last dive

And the bitter sweet sunrise

The finest summer of common goals

I don’t know why ever fear comes

But comes she does dancing in

Even the sun couldn’t blind this one

And maybe the water is warm

And It should feel so good to cover me

But as the light shimmered on everyone

I got the urge to run
