In the Garden

The dog had a litter

Nine were born but five still warm today

Though we tried and we prayed

Life after winter

If I could give I’d give myself away

But I lie so I stay

In the garden I get get something off my chest

And it comes to rest in the dirt

I sit in the kitchen
