Thought I saw a flying saucer but it was only a shoe in the air

Someone threw it there

Out of the corner of my eye

Colors in the sky flashing late at night

I was hoping for a ufo

I saw it fly up and drop low

Then where did it go

It was a child’s shoe

One of those light up shoes

Then it made me think about you

Wishing that I knew you first before you were hurt

Never wanna have to doubt you

Waiting for the shoe to drop

I wish I could stop

Looking for the love in your eye

I only saw a look of despair
