Ain't Got No Troubles on the Road

Sitting on the train, it’s another day in the life.

I’m excited to be back, playing my songs live.

Got my guitar and my bag, three trains to catch.

Wouldn’t change it for the world, I hope there ain’t another crash.

Don’t want to go home, ain’t got no troubles on the road.

Sweating in the plane, hoping there will be no delay.

Feeling pretty high, as long as I’m in time to play.

At times I nearly faded, But I survived those dark hours

Working with the world, as long as I can find the power.

Love to get back home, but there’s a lot less troubles on the road.

Last week I turned thirty, I thought I’d be further down the line.

A child and a house, but I ain’t got nothing that is mine.

Guess I’m gonna keep on keeping on, until I find the perfect way.

Keep singing my songs. Rock and roll is here to stay.

Christmas I was 82, and I’m still singing that sunshine song

Can’t believe myself, kept on going for so long.

Guess I’ll keep on keeping on, cause I really need the bread

Anyway I gotta say, it’s better than being dead

Sleeping in the bus, thinking where has all the time flown

Sitting next in line to the rock and roll throne

I want to stay on tour ; a place I am not alone

Standing on the stage is the only life I have known

I know I’m getting on but I sure feel I’m in my prime.
