I stopped reading anything

I buried my head in the sand

Like the ostrich that I am

Oh what a wasted life I've been leading

Between a bottle and a knife

I'm still bleeding

Such is the sickness of many a good thing

The bills are piling up by the front door

Nothing good happens here anymore

I avoided the phone call every time that you rang

Like the coward that I am

The view from here’s the same no matter where I’m found

It’s impossible to see with your head under the ground
