Lyrics

Two AM and I'm up again awoke to hear some crying
I get outta bed 'bout now I feel like sighing
But I pick him up and calm him down put him back where he was lying
A little tired though somehow I'm satisfied
Now I'm out the door and off to work cuz I'm a fairly busy man
But I'm always thinking about my favorite little fans
And I keep them close to my heart and I say a prayer for them
Cuz I couldn't live a life without these little hands
These little hands
These little hands though they be small
They hold it all in place
And these little hands can be so strong
In their own little way
And these little hands
Can crawl clap tap and touch your face
But these little hands
Need other hands to hold and keep them safe
Now I'm coming home walk through that door
It seems the kids have just been fed
Cuz there's crumbs all over the floor
Of rolls and crusts of bread
And a little one jumps on my lap
"And just what is this?" I ask
She says I wanted some to save just for you dad
These little hands
These little hands though they be small
They hold it all in place
And these little hands can be so strong
In their own little way
And these little hands
Can crawl clap tap and touch your face
But these little hands
Need other hands to hold and keep them
Little hands to hold on tight
Hands to hug and hand to grab
Hands that just won't go to bed without a fight
Hands to drum and hands to clap
Hands that will rub their eyes when they are tired
Hands to wipe away their tears
Hands that will learn to understand through what they feel
Hands to heal
These little hands
Though they be small
They hold it all
In place
These little hands
Can crawl clap tap
These little hands
Need other hands to hold and keep them safe
