For us it was the beach

 For us it was the sky

 You’ll always be my peach

 I’m not the same my pumpkin pie

 I really miss my cheery army, my watermelon squad

 Strawberries hanging on me

 Enough to squash the promenade

 We left the pier in splinters

 We left the sand in love

 And the ocean still remembers holding hands with both of us

 When our hearts were full of lightening

 When our eyes were shooting sparks

 All the fishermen are crying for two lovers in the dark

 For us it was the beach

 For me the moon just out of reach

 I saw it trapped there in your eye

 And the stars they made a rainbow for us

 That we just couldn’t see
