Lyrics
Last night I fell asleep watching the news,
With hate, bombs, crime, starvation, and abuse.
I took all this and more into a deep dream.
The dream lead me someplace Ive never been.
I walked across a frightful rotting land,
Just death surrounded me.
No sunlight only grey and vicious shadows
It brought me to my knees.
I screamed
Was this our home?
Now only dust and bone,
Cold just like a stone.
I laid upon the dust in my deep grief,
And gazed upon the grim and broken sky.
Then suddenly felt moving from underneath,
And dug my hands so deep into the dirt.
I grabbed and pulled so long with all my might.
This thing it rose slowly.
Then finally broke the ground and overcame me,
A flash of blinding light.
A burst of light shot straight into the sky,
And flooded all the sad and lifeless land.
It summoned from below a luscious green.
This place, it changed, the light was in command.
There was a sense so strong,
It broke my inner fears
While watching this scene,
Arise from the ash and tears
This dream Im in gives me feelings of wonder
Or have I woken from the deepest slumber?
I touch, I smell, I see these things
Is this all really happening?
Or am I still caught up inside this dream?
