The quick-spitting, emotionally honest rapper Witt Lowry rocketed out of South Windsor, Connecticut, to become a globally known artist with a devoted fanbase. • He counts Eminem, Hopsin, and Macklemore among his influences. • Lowry studied graphic design and took a job at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) before pursuing music full-time. • The rapper selected the stage name Witt Lowry as a play on his wittiness and his middle name, Laurence. • His breakthrough came with his 2013 sophomore mixtape, Kindest Regards. • Lowry's 2017 sophomore album, I Could Not Plan This, ends with “Last Letter,” a tribute to his father, who died of cancer in 2015.
