In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When I was just four years old, our family piled into our minivan with beach floats loaded in the back. What I assumed to be a surprise beach trip was instead a Jimmy Buffett concert. I sang every word, and months later, I asked for my first guitar. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Damien Rice, O
Fleetwood Mac, Rumours
Taylor Swift, Speak Now
Taylor Swift's entire discography has been the soundtrack of my life. Speak Now taught me to love songwriting, and is my desert island album. Rumours is just so authentic and full of emotion. O is my rainy day, train ride, lonely anthem. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“i’m so tired”
i'm so tired really encapsulates my life story - all the things I've tried to fill me up that haven't. I love how raw it is, how close it feels to my live show, and I love hearing fans sing it back. it also came to me in a dream, which is pretty cool What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
The first time a sold out room sang EVERY WORD of Pizza in July back at me shook me to the core. The fact that people can feel deeply with a song written in pain to bring about victory is almost incomprehensible. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I have a long way to reach most of my dreams. I want to headline and sell out Red Rocks, write with Taylor Swift, and keep making music that matters for my whole life.
