When I woke in the morning I wasn't feeling well

I spent all my money so last night must have been hell

There was a babe beside me I'd never seen before

So I gave a kiss good-bye and I went out the back door

When I left the house of mystery, I didn't know where I was

Luckily I had ten p so I phoned up me cuz

I said, "Hey cousin Paddy, can you come and pick me up?

I just came back from battle with old Irish sup"

When Paddy picked me up I was face down on the ground

It took him three hours to get in from Dublin town

What I didn't realize was I was a little out of the way

The place he picked me up was bleedin' Galway bay
