Autumn Evermore

By the light of the moon I killed the dawn

And walked the midnight halls

Through the woods, a voice was heard

Cold were the hands and pale the words

When the old ones come to gather

To haunt me

Leave behind the dying self

And Become who the ravens follow

I Return again with blackened wings

to be Crowned in autumn’s sorrow

I have chosen darkness to be my guide

with the weight of the night I carry

My soul, my shadow

Cold echoes on the wind

From the heights of the frozen cliffs

To a place where the clouds surround me

Be still and gaze within

To see the end at last become

And the wisdom it gave to me in death
