Comes and Goes

I’m okay, I’m alright

I feel the raindrops on my skin

I woke up early by the sunlight

Now the storm is moving in

I don’t have to have the answers

Or to chase what’s out of reach

Every wave will find the shoreline

All I have to do is breathe

So many questions, little do we know

I guess that sometimes we

Just need to let it go

Tide will be rising, tide’s

Bound to fall

Maybe that explains it all

The thing is, I don’t know

Why it comes and goes

Like a river always winding

Drifting high then low

Like the wind that blows

Knowing there’s a silver lining

When the dust has settled down

I don’t run, I don’t hurry

What I miss will find me still

Even when the sky looks blurry

There’s a calm behind the hill

Let the sky be ever-changing

Let the clouds drift as they please

I don’t mind the rearranging

I will learn to let it be
