This morning I drove by a pasture

Saw Mr. John on his ole Deere tractor

With a dusty American flag there hanging off of the back

And when I pulled up to the BP

Saw an old man sippin' on his sweet tea

World War 2 first infantry written on his hat

It got me thinking about this dirt

How it’s God given but it’s earned

You’re why country boys get to kick a little dust in a truck

Cause of y’all we get to mount and make a couple bucks

If it wasn’t for your sacrifice

There wouldn’t be cracking no cold Coors light

Have some country kids and build a country world in a country town
