Lyrics

I try not to think about the relationships of my past, but I think that it's important
To bring up
There's a lot going on there that I need to get off of my chest
A lot of things happened, a lot of things went to my head, I'll tell them separate stories
So this is part one, I guess, strap in, there's a long road ahead
Grade six, pretty young, I know I dated this girl
And she lived just down the road
My older brother's best friend's sister, and my own best friend's ex
Well at least I thought
So
I knew she had a crush on me, and I knew I was about to leave
I thought I'd do her a favor and, you know, give her that dream
Like I said, grade six, clearly I wasn't thinking
I dated this girl cause she wanted me, wait just listen
Best friend's ex, like I said, well guess what, I was an evil little fucker they were together at the time
I'm the reason they broke up, I'm the reason she left him
But before she had a chance, a letter from me was written
She gave it to me when she came over one night
Her name was Krystal, with a K, she sat with me that night
I got up a lot, and I scooted a little closer that night
She was pretty, and I liked that, but she bit me that night
Next week we went on a little walk, past sundown, down the block
It was getting darker, the air was colder, she turned to me and stopped
She held my hand I felt butterflies in my stomach
I dated her for her, but my grade six self was falling
First girlfriend man, and it was going great
Come to school the next day, and I realized that it was fake
My heart plummeted as I saw, my best friend's face
Held in her hands, I guess it's what I get
'Cause she was with him the whole fucking time
Yeah and it gave me a reason to distrust strangers
And as you'll soon learn, that distrust was solidified
I started off as a villain and I still am at times
But remember I was in grade six
I couldn't comprehend that I was a bad guy in this situation
Thought I got cheated on, and that's
That's it
That's the end of the story
