Love is a four letter word derived from a series of proto indo European words

Derived from a concept that early Greek philosophers

Couldn't even fit neatly into six boxes

Like a literal camel through the eye of a needle

Or according to a bumper sticker that I saw once on a Kia Sorento on Keystone

If you take the word, love, and you spell it backwards, it spells evol

Isn't that crazy?

Yet we have the gall to say, I love you

Love is protecting each other's solitude

Between columns is room, between cedars, the roots

Being married in sharing the carrying, bearing and ferrying burdens

Weight distribution requires space between the two

Love is the alignment of two separate wills

Two separate sets of desires distilled

Two individuals sharing residuals

Modified, but still, combined in homogenous swill

But how can contradicting concepts coexist?

How can things stay separate and be mixed?
