Rickety Ride

Walking to my car

Going home after work

You were drinking a bottle of wine alone on the sidewalk

You asked me if I wanted

To go back to your place for more drinks

Then we went to a carnival

And rode all the rickety rides

You drove my car downtown

And took us to Pegasus and Cricket Lounge

Somehow we made it back

And passed out in the bed

Few weeks later, you told me you'd made up your mind

I said, "Don't do it"

It was one of the biggest mistakes of my life
