Jesus Wouldn't Do

He never whiskey-stumbled out a bar way past closing time

Never sat handcuffed in a backseat, bloodshot eyes looking at blue lights

He gave the shirt off his back to a stranger

And nothing but love to his neighbor

He had a grip on his anger

And then there's me

'Cause I'll never walk on water, but I pour some in my bourbon
