I've always hated credit scenes

They remind me all my favorite things have an ending

And then I start to overthink

And I spiral on eternity, and it sends me

Deep into a tizzy

Till I'm nice and dizzy, like am I enough?

Am I on the cusp of everything I can be?

Know that it sounds campy, but it's keeping me up

When my now turns into was

Will I be proud of who I have been?

When my skin's all wrinkled and rough

Will I be proud of who I have been?

When I know how it all happened

And I'm talking in past tense

When I'm gray and medicated just to keep my heart from fading

Don't want to hate the retrograding, want to be proud of what I've made and

All the stories that I'm saying till the bittersweet's all I'm tasting

I can feel my body wasting, but the thought of the end, it doesn't send me
