Blast after blast

Again, wake up as the mind unravels

Night after night, projectiles coming down

The psychological aspects of fear and sleep deprivation are now entwined

Fortitude rots away over time

Awakening prostrated

Contrasting unnatural susceptibility to the awaiting crimes, and the mundanity resuming

The glaring absolute protest of no escape

Arisen, the dormant

The breaking of spirit

The organic process of surrendering to the norm

Bitterly enraged, though I have become

I hate this fucking life of mine

And now I bury the dead

Another day filling a ditch

The streets littered with debris

Still coming to terms, this cannot be happening

Imprisoned

Invigorated mirth

Soon this city of the dead used for resource, left barren, none shall escape nor be able to flee

A walking, breathing regret

Where there is no solace left

They fucking murdered sleep

I suffer bitterly, when I look at what they have done to me

And I am one of the trapped, but am not one of a few

For there are many afflicted here, long since forgotten, gazing headlong into fathomless darkness

Wake each night to sirens

Pray to evade the warheads

It all seems random, arbitrary
