I don’t know but I been told

That the Human Condition is mighty cold

You need sugar on the cornflakes for the soul

To feed the apparition at the Glory Hole

Abadon and Dracula are singing their songs

Nature red in the tooth and the claw

Sobbing in the mirror love’s auld refrain

Sweep away the rubble but the wreckage remains

It’s a good, bright, illusory delight
