Dark in EveryDay

All around me

I hear the pounding

The dogs in town, keep on hounding me

Seems like i can’t ever get ahead

I keep grinding but never finding it

Preacher preachin but i ain’t buyin it

Wrapped in a shroud of choices i can’t shed

It’s hard to live with what you done

Takin a loss when you think you shoulda won

Doing the work, not having fun

Never thought i would be this way

Caught up in somebody else’s life

Making decisions aint always wrong or right

I’m just trying to see the light

Through the dark in every day

They keep shouting it I keep doubting it

Losing sight but I keep fighting it

It ain’t time for me to lay down just yet

The clock keeps ticking and I’m still kicking

The way we’re living is sometimes sickening

Never winning but placing the same old bets

It’s hard to live with what you done
