Last night I dreamt of Canada

I dreamt I was on my way

To see my friends and family

And this time I was gonna stay

Oh but, Canada is miles away

Much farther than it seems

And you can't go back

Not even in your dreams

Sometime I dream of Somerset

I'm walking by the mill

My children laughing by my side

Yes I can hear them still

Oh but, Somerset is miles away

Well I walk the hills of Shropshire now

And I marvel at the view

And I think about the tangled path

That brought me her to you

And if something can be learned from this

It's the knowledge that we lack

For you always can go home again

But you never can go back
