It started out adding what we had to that apartment

Wasn't all that much, but we tried

Some picture frames, chairs, a table bought down at the thrift store

Lacking never hurt when you were mine

The longer granted wishes stick, we forget why we made them

Just another patch in the fabric of our lives

Rich in love made being close to broke slightly easier

What comes up could suffocate all else
