Lyrics
Looking at my rollie, I ain't got no time. Nor do I have a rollie like my pops.
What I got’s old school kicks, fits with boomboxes, crocs and tube socks; trying to slide through obstacles.
TikTok got abandoned along with future fans who followed the wave for a few days, then to their amazement..
Found out it was a maze heading nowhere but dead ends. Tried to be a legend with Foodie Fridays.
Nowadays battling depression; and getting back to the mission.
Had no nutritional value in the feasts I was eating. Funny how these silly schemes keep people peeping.
Easily amused with mediocrity; so excellence is out of reach. And our destiny is not complete.
Tried to be consistent and find the link to the other side. But maybe my watch said it wasn't time.
I’m staring at the hands on the clock. The sands of the hourglass drop.
All I can do is--watch. Cause it can’t stop, won’t stop. Listen closely to hear the tick tock. I--
Wish I could hold the hands on the clock or catch the grains of sand when they drop.
Now I’m focused on the--plot. Trying to rewrite the story if it’s the last chance that I got.
Don’t blink! You wake up and things done changed. Tried to number all your days; but it ain’t the same. You got aches and pains you ain’t used to have. Do you let it run its course or remove the scab?
Trying to keep up with trends; but you’re losing tabs. And you hit up your friends; but they usually pass.
So you confuse your past for some of your best days while the rest say those days are ahead of you still.
Even if they’re filled with medical bills, you make better wages to aid you with aging. But you’ve been thinking.
Way back to the days of old when you felt worthless; less than your weight in gold.
Tank on E, you wondered if you’d make it home. Now you’re empty inside but your tank is full.
Got a little bankroll for a rainy day. Well that’s cool; cause them rainy days came to stay. Aye--
