Lyrics
These brittle bones
I aspire to reveal
My flesh so thin
Inspired the appeal
A pack of onlookers
Peek at me sheepishly
The truth is that
They were gazing intriguingly
I dug through images
And loved what I saw
The reflection I witness
Then became the law
It took some time
But I made it happen
At fist it was slow
But I melted in fashion
I cut back even further the results were quite shocking
A little bit more each and every day
Which to my surprise only motivated their gawking
Wasting away while basking in the glow
This existence I sacrificed was all for the show
As my energy faded
I dug in for more
At this point I spent
Most of my time on the floor
As they muttered in awe
I simply assumed
That they deeply enjoyed
What they saw
The flesh just kept falling
Which most found appealing
An abysmal manifestation
Of our infected decaying
Subjective once pristine society
My densest part was the void in my head
An encompassing sense of devastating dread
The simplest of tasks
Remained just out of reach
But that is the outcome
Of the sermon that I have decided to preach
This unnerving lifestyle
Voraciously fed upon
The end was inevitable
But they will certainly say
I was memorable
