Sometimes I have this dream

That I'll write the greatest song that anyone ever sings

And people around the world are singing it on repeat

Wouldn't that be neat, and sweet?

When I wake up and try to write it down

I'm so mad 'cause my head can't remember now

I close my eyes and try, try, try

But the only part that I remember, it goes like

Wait, you too?

I play it for my band

And they all hop on the instruments, and I join in

And my friend on guitar is questioning, "Is it like this?"

I'm like, "I guess"

And my head's hanging low and discouraged how

The song may be gone for forever now

But I decide for one last try

And maybe that'll spark my memory

But I don't really know

How many dreams did I ever dream

That I won't remember 'cause I was asleep?

Did I change the world or cure a disease?
