How Did We Get Here?

How did we get here, and where do we go now?

I only fear wasting my time somehow

But do what you’re doing, and don’t you dare ask why

If you think too much you might lose your mind

Half asleep the days the weeks

The plans we make the ones we keep

Because we can’t say no

The days are short the nights are long

The morning’s gone the alarm has rung

But we let it go

I never felt a moment, so pure and true

As when we would sing til the morning dew

In another lifetime in a chapter near the end

Could we maybe one day write again?

As we grow our paths will show

That we are two not born to walk together forever

Time will tell the moment’s now

And all I feel is how this used to better
