I couldn't even buy a legal drink

When he got down on one knee

I was five months in to 23

When he decided to leave

He took more than half the house

Split up the cars and bank accounts

But he took a whole lot more than that from me

At 20 I should've had a fake ID

Should've drank too much bottom shelf

At 21 I should've been making mistakes

Instead of living with one I didn't know I'd made

I'm calling up my friends he never liked

Missed out on years of Friday nights
