Sky’s so bright it looks like doom

Smoke and fire fills the room

Counting seconds tick by slow

Waiting for the final show

Shadows dance beneath the blast

Memories of a peaceful past

Eyes wide open can't look away

Waiting for the end of day

Sirens sing a deadly song

Everyone knew all along

World’s on edge with bated breath

Waiting for the dance with death

Walls are trembling shaking ground

Echoes of that dreadful sound

Time is fierce feels like a crime

Turning gears of our last chime

Through the chaos and the strife

We hold on to threads of life

Hopes and fears a tangled loom
