whirling through the darkness

2 spreading cones of light

i'd like to take you with me

we're going on a journey

that starts and ends at night

worlds are coming going now

living in a haze

could that be a lightning flash

or someone striking up a match

or passing of the days

moments gently smouldering

glowing from inside

the vistas I have gazed upon

the faces that have come and gone

keeping me alive

sinking deep, surfacing – been talking in your sleep

how much ore to hack thru

to reach the golden vein

how much coal to warm the heart

how much wool to pull apart

and reach you once again
