i’m looking over at you all night

nothing holds me like your eye line

and looking at the floor

just makes me want you more

you say you think about me sometimes

there’s a darkness in my vision

come tomorrow i’ll be missing

the part of me that still

wants to climb that hill

and you don’t wanna be a witness

i see you standing in the kitchen

and now i find that i am wishing

that you would pull me out

from underneath the ground

and tell me these are my conditions

you tell me to be honest

and that’s what i find the hardest

i feel split in two

but not when i’m with you

and i want you to believe it

in my mind the sunrise

is pulsing through the air

i get lost in my doubts

and think that you’re not there

a vision i made up

i reach out for your hand
