Open Doors

Closed minds

And closed accounts

Corner store is closing down

It all goes dark if you close your eyes

They take it all, you want it back

You never get cause you never ask

It’s hard to own the things that you don’t buy

I’ve saved it all and I’ve lost again

Tried smiling my way through the years

Spent too much time wondering why everything is broken

I’m just hopin it’s all open doors from here

Saw a man walk down the street

Waved his hand and spoke to me

He said good things come to those who wait

Well I’ve been waiting long enough

Took my time, that time is up

Guess the good things are running late
