My sons don't deserve my scars and broken parts of me

But they deserve a mama who let God come and heal every part of me

So, I'm removing my expectations for apologies and explanations

Their generation deserves something that's worth passing on

And that's no drama, that's not trauma, but that's a love that's born

From the Spirit, a love that's healing
