GLOWING LIGHTS

What an absorbing frame it is

The city in its early hours

When the first ray of sunlight

Sits near you along the water

You know something has changed

In the glowing lights of the dawn

Ho for sure, all is the same

Yet everything looks different

I wish you could cast a glance

Among the eager morning birds

They're hopeless scenes of romance

Played by misty night lovers

They are lying still on the shore

In the warming sunrise blaze

Ending the evening burned before

While I'm here writing poems
