Let's go swimming in the quarry

It's nearly midnight and high July

Let's go crossing through the wasteland

Kicking the dust to heaven high

Where we cut through, the last time

And overhead the yawning chasm

As I watch you climb up the hewn out rock

Floating on my back in the dark cobalt quarry waters

Watching the spangle of stars above

Like a fugitive star renegade in the firmament
