big road to nowhere

daisies down there

big body open wide

last seeds inside

i see beams and broken arms around me

though it was nobody’s fault i know what i see

down in golden

drowning, glowing

lightly like me

lawless dreaming

all this racing water, i know it was mine

galaxies spill out, and i just want to cry

tiny shark smiles with their polyester gleam

miles of winding wires, horror vacui

scream a million suns ‘til my lungs go dry

pull the wires out, and put myself inside

a roar of melted guns, flooded threadbare eyes

pour right down my mind but i can’t ask why

hear the half world sigh, it’s all sick and wild

burn the quiet light that can never die
