Have you ever held the ticket?

Have you ever waited just too long to tell?

Have you ever seen the future?

Have you ever woke in sweat of what it held?

Well, I do too

Have you ever feared somebody?

Have you ever held the vice down on your lips? I know

Have you ever been inspired?

Have you ever felt the guilt of what you missed?

Well, I do too

I could hope a thousand times a day

But a mirror says more than words could ever say

And I marvel at the saints of yesterday

Who held truth to the world and blazed their own way

And I rage at how a pack can turn in pace

When the water doesn't flow in its purposeful place

And my heart will ache for the courage that you gave

When only now you are loved, but then you were shamed
