Balcony

Rain is pouring on her balcony tonight

Scrawling down the letters she needs to write

On a piece of paper lying on the floor

Leaves it in the hall then walks out the door

When the sun is gone there will be no one

Waiting for her cause they’re tired of holding on

There to pick her up and drive her home

No one told her how the story never ends

Going back and forth to try to make amends

Slowly realizing there’s a ringing bell

Forgot about the ones that used to know her well
