See I’ve been trying to stay faithful

But they make it hard

The energy that surrounds me

Can often tend to confound me

Can I even start?

Now I’ve been working for so long

I don’t know how long I can hold on

Before it gets to me

Sometimes I get knocked down

But heaven knows I’ll make it out

Going after it mercilessly

Sometimes it gets hard to find out

Lost my way, I get pushed around

But they got nothing on me

And now I step into the crowd

I got good ones that won’t let me down

Wise enough to let it be
